Because the landscape of digital art and digital design is always changing, I am sure there is going to come a time when I retire this lesson, however, this is now that year. 2018 is still a big year for the Geometric design, so we are going to keep in on the schedule once again.
This year the student work blew me out of the water. Last year the finished products were good but this year it is a whole new level of awesome!
Instruction:
1. Choose an original image or an image from the public domain
2. In photoShop place the image
3. add a new layer
4. use the polygonal lasso tool to create on your new layer
5. use the ink dropper tool to select the general color
6. use the paint bucket tool to dump the color into the shape you made
7. Repeat this step until your image is covered in the low poly style mosaic.
So I tried to narrow down all the examples of student work, but there were so many good ones I had a hard time, so you have a lot to view at least.

10 Images Showing Aperture
Aperture is an important step in understanding your photo abilities as well as the camera you are using. For this lesson I have the student focus just on their aperture and depth of field. But I know that this subject can get a little broad. So I created a few prompts in order to help get students hone their skills.
The Assignment
1. Portrait with shallow focus
2. Shoot down something
3. Have the focus Blur in the Foreground
4. Blurred Portrait
5. Very obvious deep Focus
6. Color shift image
7. Temporary Foreground
8, 9, &10 your choice, be creative
Here are the slides from my example lesson.
If you need a refresher course on aperture, here is a pretty good video breaking it down.
And here are a few of the examples from the assignment. The student did a great job this year on this project, and I loved how these turned out.
